A CHEF and restaurateur famous for creating an acclaimed chain in London is turning his attention to Dorset with a new venture.
Bradley Green, who owns the highly-acclaimed Green’s brand, in London and Essex, is set to take over the prestigious Lord Bute Hotel restaurant in Highcliffe on September 1.
His career began at the illustrious Il Bottaccio on Grosvenor place, alongside the legendary Marco Pierre White.
Green’s followed, a top-tier brand of London restaurants, as well as a host of awards and a top ranking in Time Out magazine.
Beyond his culinary prowess, Bradley carries his own rock ‘n’ roll legacy.
“His father, the late British rock legend Mick Green, was a member of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates, celebrated for his musical talents and performing alongside icons like Sir Paul McCartney, Van Morrison and Bryan Ferry,” a spokesperson said.
Mick was also in Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas, and is hailed as an influence by the likes of Pete Townsend, Wilko Johnson, Roger Daltrey and more.
“But off stage, Mick loved to cook, giving Bradley this unusual rock-star-infused love of all things food,” they added.
Ahead of his tenure at the five-star Lord Bute, Bradley has assured patrons there will be no ‘major changes’ to the hotel’s offering until after Christmas.
“Guests can continue to indulge in the Lord Bute’s existing hospitality and amenities, newly enhanced and overseen by Mr Green himself,” the spokesperson added.
But Bradley has ambitious plans for the Lord Bute Hotel’s restaurant.
“Following the Christmas season, the restaurant will temporarily close in January for a refurbishment, reflecting the chef’s commitment to elevating the already two-AA Rosette dining experience and creating a refined ambiance for his esteemed guests.”
Long-time hotel manager Chris Denley and the current kitchen staff are set to remain an integral part of the new team.
