A MAN is set to appear in court charged with robbing a shop in Wimborne.
The 34-year-old, from the Dorchester area, has been charged with robbery and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He is due to appear before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 18.
The alleged incident happened at the Spar, in Gordon Road, Wimborne, at around 9pm on Monday, April 24.
Dorset Police said a man allegedly pulled out a Stanley knife before demanding money from a member of staff at the till.
He allegedly grabbed the victim by their clothing and took cash from the till, they added.
