Teens arrested after alleged robbery in Christchurch

TWO teens have been arrested after an alleged robbery in Christchurch.

The incident happened at around 8.40pm on Sunday (June 25), with two 15-year-old boys allegedly assaulted by a group of other teens in the area of Christchurch Recreation Ground, near Barrack Road.

Their mountain bikes and bags were stolen, police said.

Later, a 17-year-old boy from Poole and a 16-year-old boy from Bournemouth were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Detective Constable Steve Davis, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are conducting a number of enquiries into this incident, and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that could assist our investigation.

“I would also urge any motorists who were travelling in the area of Barrack Road and the Christchurch Recreation Ground on the evening of Sunday 25 June 2023 to please check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
