UPDATE: Missing Bournemouth man found

Officers searching for missing Bournemouth man James Rampton are pleased to confirm he has been located.

James was reported missing having last been seen on Sunday 11 June 2023.

Following searches and enquiries by officers, he has now been located.

We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal.

Officers are appealing for information from the public as they carry out enquiries to locate a missing man from Bournemouth.

James Rampton, aged 47, was last seen in the town on Sunday 11 June 2023.

He is described as five feet six inches tall and of slim build with shaved and thinning grey hair and usually has facial stubble. James was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue top.

Inspector Jon Wasey, of Dorset Police’s Missing Person Support Team, said: “James has not been seen for a number of days now and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“From our enquiries, we know James often frequents the area of Bournemouth town centre as well as Boscombe and he also likes to spend time at the beach. I would urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please contact us.

“I would also like to make a direct appeal to James if you see this to please contact us or your family and let us know where you are. We just want to make sure you are all right.”
