A MAN threatened staff before making off with cash from the till at a convenience store in Poole.
The incident unfolded at the Lotus shop, in The Parade, at around 11.40am on Sunday (June 11).
Police said a man entered the store and made threats to a member of staff before stealing a quantity of cash from the till.
The offender is described as around 5ft 3 inches tall and with a large stomach and was wearing a black balaclava.
Detective Constable Thomas Norman, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was a very distressing incident for the staff member to have experienced and we have launched a full investigation to identify the man responsible.
“Detectives are carrying out a range of enquiries and I would urge anyone who was in the area and witnessed any suspicious activity to please contact us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured any relevant mobile phone, home CCTV or dashcam footage.”
