A WOMAN managed to fight off a man who grabbed her shoulders in a Poole street.
It is reported that at around 7.45pm on Monday, May 22, the victim – a woman in her 20s – was approached by an unknown man in Seldown Road, near the junction with Seldown Lane.
The man allegedly grabbed the victim by her shoulders, before she managed to push him off. He ran away in the direction the town centre.
Officers attended and an 18-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of assault.
He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
PC Sophia Winborn, of Poole police, said: “I am really keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed what happened.”
