MORE arrests have been made as police probe a stabbing in Wimborne.
Detectives investigating the incident, at an address in the Leigh Gardens area at around 9.50pm on Sunday, February 26, have made four more arrests.
An 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, both from Wimborne, as well as a 35-year-old man from Fordingbridge in Hampshire have all been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
A 38-year-old Wimborne woman has also been arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
They follow arrests of a 15-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man, both from the Wimborne area, were on suspicion of attempted murder. Both have been released on police bail.
An 18-year-old Poole man was also previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
The incident saw a man aged in his 50s taken to hospital for treatment to suspected stab wounds, which were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
Detective Inspector Dave Horn, of Dorset County CID, said: “This has been an extensive investigation as we carry out detailed enquiries into events of the evening of Sunday, February 26.
“I am continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcams, to please get in touch with police.
“I would also urge residents in the area to please check their gardens for anything that could have been discarded.”
