The Rotary Shoebox Scheme has been boosted by 65 Christmas shoeboxes thanks to the efforts of Wimborne Rotarian, Brian Dryden.

With the support of his wife Pat and their family, Brian produced 14 boxes, supplemented by 39 boxes filled by Wimborne Rotary members, with a further 12 boxes filled by Rotarians cash donations.

The Shoebox Scheme, whose mission is to spread a little happiness to disadvantaged children in Eastern Europe, sees thousands distributed each year to children in Moldova and Romania and including refugee children from Ukraine.
Brian said: “I’m delighted that Wimborne Rotary has responded so well to this year’s appeal and thank our members and my family and friends for their support in achieving this great result.”
