Verwood Concert Brass (VCB) has been at the heart of Verwood community since 1864 but its future is in jeopardy because their band hall has major subsidence. A builder is ready to start in May, but first they need to raise £250,000!
VCB is a registered charity and has four bands, ranging from a new starter group through to a championship band competing at national level. Several VCB youngsters have gone on to take up musical careers. They support many community events in Verwood as well as gigs like Ferndown Carnival, school fetesand concerts in care homes.

VCB plans to establish a youth academy for young brass band players. Their band hall is an essential rehearsal space plus music and equipment store.
