Colehill resident Ron Franks is the new president of Wimborne Rotary and received his chain of office at a recent lunchtime meeting.
Outgoing president Jan Baseley, who held office for a record total of 17 months due to Covid restrictions, welcomed Ron at a special handover meeting at the club’s new meeting venue, Wimborne Football Club.
Ron said: “I am looking forward to guiding the club through the coming year and I hope to welcome some new members during my year in office.
“Wimborne Rotary now has a first-class venue for its fortnightly regular meetings, and we would welcome any enquiries from new members who are keen to get involved in our support of the community”, he added.
