A MAN in his 80s sadly died following a two-car crash in New Milton.

A blue Kia Sportage and a white Vauxhall Vivaro van crashed on Sway Road at around 2.40pm on Monday (November 10).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police have now sadly confirmed the Kia driver died at the scene.

The van driver, a man in his 30s from Portsmouth, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Officers would also like to hear from any witnesses who were driving in the area at the time.

“Did you witness the incident, or do you have any dashcam footage which could help our enquiries?,” a spokesperson for the force said.

“We would also like to thank motorists for their patience as Sway Road and Marks Lane were both closed to allow emergency services to work at the scene.”
