A 14-YEAR-old boy has been handed a nine-month youth referral order following a string of offences in both Ringwood and Fordingbridge.
The boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, criminal damage, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.
He admitted the offences when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on October 13.

This follows thefts from the Co-op shop on the High Street in Fordingbridge on January 3 and Central Stores in Southampton Road in Ringwood.
The criminal damage occurred inside a police van on New Road in Ringwood on February 3 and the driving offences took place in Ringwood on April 3 and May 21.
A New Forest Police spokesperson said: “The boy has been handed a nine-month Youth Referral Order and must pay £62.46 in compensation and a £26 surcharge. His driving record will also be endorsed with six penalty points.”
