A HANDBAG was stolen in a burglary at a property in Poole – with a bank card in it later used at a nearby garage.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward following the theft, some time between 4am and 4.40am on Thursday, October 2, from an address in Dawkins Road, when a handbag containing bank cards was stolen, as well as a mobile phone.
The bank card was later used at the Esso garage in Blandford Road at around 4.40am.
PC Ben Gregory, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out an investigation to identify the person responsible.
“At this time, we do not have a description for the suspect and we are speaking to the garage about obtaining CCTV footage from when the bank card was used.
“However, in the meantime I would ask anyone who was at the forecourt around the relevant time and may have captured any relevant footage to please come forward.
“If you have any information that may help us identify the offender, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information should contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting incident number 55250146055, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
