A CARE worker who raped a woman at his home in Christchurch has been jailed for five years.
Emmanuel Mukum Maleh, 28, raped the victim on March 3, 2024. The pair had been chatting on a dating app weeks before and arranged to meet up.
Maleh carried out the attack at his home in the Highcliffe area later that day.
The victim, a woman in her 30s from Bournemouth, bravely reported the rape to police the following day and an investigation was quickly launched, with Maleh subsequently arrested.
He was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court today (September 19) after being found guilty by a jury at a previous trial at the same court.
