Police appeal after thieves break into vehicle to steal bike in Verwood

POLICE are appealing for information after a mountain bike was stolen from a vehicle late at night in Verwood.

The bike was stolen after two men reportedly forced entry to a vehicle in Burnbake Road at around 2.30am last Wednesday (July 30).

The bike is described as a Pivot Phoenix mountain bike.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.

PC Matt Cutler, of East Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident to identify those responsible.

“As part of my investigation, I am issuing an image of the stolen bike and would ask anyone who has seen it for sale locally in unusual circumstances to please get in touch.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time.”
