FORMER Rural Dean of Wimborne and Canon of Salisbury Cathedral, David Price, has passed away.

Rev Canon Price passed away “peacefully” on June 28, at the age of 86.

Having previously been appointed at parishes in Kent and Berkshire, Rev Canon Price was appointed in Wimborne in 1988, and a Canon at Salisbury in 1992.

A funeral service will be held at the Church of St Cuthburga (Wimborne Minster) on Thursday (July 24) from 3pm.

Nicholas O’Hara Funeral Directors has said there are family flowers only at the service, with donations in memory of Rev Price will be collected for Forest Holme Hospice.
