CCTV released as more than £200 worth of scratch cards stolen in Ringwood

POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a string of shoplifting incidents in the Ringwood area.

The man police would like to speak to is described as white, approximately 5ft 9’, around 30 years old and wearing a black beanie hat, grey tracksuit bottoms and jacket.

The following incident all occurred between 12.25pm and 5.25pm on October 12.

  • £40 worth of scratch cards were reported stolen from Lunns of Ringwood, Christchurch Road. Incident number 44240444085 refers.
  • £100 worth of scratch cards and £4 worth of lottery tickets were reported stolen from Central Stores, Southampton Road. Incident number 44240444343 refers.
  • £100 worth of scratch cards were reported stolen from Tesco Express, Butlers Lane. Incident number 44240445396 refers.
  • There was also an attempt theft of scratch cards at Waitrose, The Furlong. Incident number 44240444139 refers.

“We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us,” a police spokesperson said.

“Also, if you witnessed anything of any of these incidents, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.
