AN altercation took place between people in a car and others on pony-and-traps in East Dorset.

Police are appealing for information after the incident, at the Crab Orchard Bends in Verwood Road, Three Legged Cross at around 4.30pm on Sunday (March 31).

A Dorset Police spokesperson said “an altercation occurred involving the occupants of a black Vauxhall Astra and pony-and-traps”.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Jane Moore, of East Dorset Police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

“I understand there were a number of vehicles in the area who may have witnessed what happened or captured anything of relevance on a dashcam.

“I am appealing to anyone with information or footage to please contact Dorset Police.”
