Woman charged over Wimborne crash that killed 40-year-old James Raeburn

A WOMAN has been charged over a crash that killed James Raeburn in Wimborne.

The incident happened at around 10.10pm on Wednesday, October 4, last year on the B3078 Julians Road.

It involved a red Vauxhall Corsa and a bicycle.

The cyclist, named by his family as 40-year-old James, sustained serious injuries and sadly died at the scene.

A local woman, in her 20s, was arrested in connection with the incident and has now been charged with causing death by driving without due care or consideration while unfit through drugs, causing death by due care while over the prescribed limit, using a motor vehicle or trailer in a condition likely to cause danger of injury and failing to stop after an accident.

She is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 3.
