FORDINGBRIDGE youngsters showed their creative side when making posters for peace.
The Ringwood & Fordingbridge branch of the Lions Club hosted their leg of the group’s International Art Competition, where the aim was for youngsters between 11 and 13 to create a 2D poster that expresses their vision of peace, tolerance and understanding.
This year’s theme was ‘Dare to Dream’ and saw around 200 year 7 students at Burgate School and Forres Sandle Manor School, in Fordingbridge, produce designs.
Heidi Killen, manager at Lunns Art Store, in Old Christchurch Road, Ringwood, has now put the winner and runners-up designs on show in the shop, where they will be on display throughout December.
The winning entries were the work of Noah and Regina, with Barnaby and Beatrice coming a close second.

Winning posters in the competition
At one school, the winning poster was designed by a pupil who has a close connection with Kyiv, who has drawn a picture showing the devastating impact of war and of their dream for peace in that region.
Lions Club president, Stephen Sherring, was full of praise for every student at both schools who entered the competition.
“It is humbling to see so many young people united together both locally and internationally in their thinking about peace and expressing this through art,” he said.
Noah and Regina’s creations will now progress to the District Final stage of the competition.
