77-year-old arrested after reports of man repeatedly flashing motorists in Dorset

A 77-year-old man has been arrested after a man reportedly exposed himself and performed an indecent act in front of motorists.

Dorset Police received reports of a man exposing himself at 12.48pm last Sunday (July 20) in West Moors Road in Three Legged Cross.

A similar report at the same location was received at 5.40pm that day.

This comes after subsequent reports of a similar nature of alleged indecent acts at 11am on July 19 in Victoria Road in Ferndown and at 7.56am on July 23 in West Moors Road.

Following enquiries, a 77-year-old man from Ferndown was arrested on suspicion of exposure. He has been released on police bail as the investigation continues.

Detective Sergeant Kate Bleese, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate these incidents, and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any of the reported behaviour at these times and locations and have not yet spoken to us.

“Furthermore, I would ask anyone who has witnessed any similar incidents in East Dorset to please report them to us so we can gain a full understanding of what has been happening in the area.”
