A WOMAN has been arrested after a man suffered serious injuries in an alleged assault in Ferndown.
Dorset Police received a report at around 9.55pm on Friday (March 22) of an assault in the area of Emberley Close.
A man in his 30s suffered serious injuries and went to hospital for treatment.
A 28-year-old woman, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
She was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
The arrested woman and man are believed to be known to each other.
Detective Inspector Rhys Griffiths, of Dorset County CID, said: “Detailed enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity during the evening of Friday, March 22, in the areas of Emberley Close or Bolton Crescent.
“Also, I would appeal to any residents with home CCTV or doorbell cameras, as well as motorists travelling in the vicinity with a dashcam fitted to their vehicle, to please check their footage for anything of relevance.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are carried out and officers can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.”
