WIMBORNE served up a heartfelt tribute for its armed service personnel as a way to thank them for their service.
The celebration marked Armed Forces Day on Saturday (June 28), where mayor councillor Jeff Hart was joined by the mayoress, Barbara Hart, and town serjant and crier, Chris Brown at the Museum of East Dorset.
In recognition of the bravery, dedication, and sacrifice of those who served, Wimborne Minster Town Council offered complimentary tea, coffee, and cake to all serving personnel, veterans, and their immediate families.

Cllr Hart said: “Today is about honouring the unwavering commitment of our Armed Forces. We owe so much to those who wear the uniform with pride, and it’s a privilege to show our appreciation in this small but meaningful way.”
The town council thanked all who attended and to everyone in the community who has served or continues to serve.
“Your courage and commitment are deeply valued,” a spokesperson added.
