Picture appeal after handbag stolen from woman in her 80s

POLICE have released images of two people they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a handbag from a woman in her 80s in New Milton.

The incident occurred at around 3pm on Saturday, July 6, at Marks & Spencer in Station Road, when the victim’s bag was taken from her trolley.

The handbag contained her phone, purse and bank cards.

“Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries and are now in a position to release images of two people they would like to speak with,” a Hampshire Police spokesperson said.

A man police are trying to trace is described as being white, 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build with long hair and a medium length beard. He was wearing white trainers, white shorts with blue stripes and a black top.

A woman is described as being white, 5ft 4ins tall, of slim build with black hair. She was wearing white shoes, jeans, a black top, pink hat and sunglasses.
