Pauline’s 50 years helping patients at Adam Practice

FROM reception to prescriptions, “legend” Pauline Hallam has seen it all in her 50 years with the Adam Practice, in Upton.

Described by her colleagues as loyal, committed and hardworking, staff have been celebrating Pauline’s accomplishments during her time there.

Pauline started working in reception, before making her way up to the role of surgery team leader.

She then became fully trained in dispensing and helped to run a dispensary at Upton for many years.

More recently, she started working as a purchasing administrator, and is in charge of complex ordering of products, drugs, needles, dressings, and other supplies used across the Adam Practice’s five sites.

“It has been my second family, that’s why I’m still here at this age,” she said.

Dr Charlie Powell, GP at The Adam Practice in Upton, said: “I’ve worked with Pauline for 31 years. She is an absolute legend.

“I have seen her battling through the snow to get to work, to make sure she is there for our patients.

“She has helped take the practice from a small surgery in Upton, through to our current size, providing a service for many people across Dorset and Poole.

“She is always working with a smile on her face, and her great Liverpudlian sense of humour.”

He added: “Pauline is a real role model for any person starting out in a career in primary care. Thank you for all you have done for the Adam Practice and our patients over the years.”
