Motorbike rider, 24, killed in crash with Jeep in Poole

A MAN had sadly died after a motorbike and a Jeep crashed in Poole last week.

The motorbike rider, a 24-year-old man from Poole, was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries following the crash on the eastbound carriageway of the A3049 Dorset Way prior to the Old Wareham Road roundabout just before 4.30pm last Wednesday (October 29).

Dorset Police has now confirmed that the motorbike rider sadly died in hospital on Saturday evening (November 1). His family has been informed.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to get in touch to help their investigation.

Police sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones of the man who sadly died following this collision.

“We owe it to them to conduct a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, who has not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.”
