A 22-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court over claims he caused injury by dangerous driving after a crash in Hurn.

The incident, on Parley Lane near Bournemouth Airport, happened at just before 10pm on Saturday, July 22, last year, and involved a dark blue Ford Fiesta and a blue Dodge Caliber.

Emergency services attended and the driver of the Dodge Caliber, a woman in her 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

A 22-year-old man from West Moors attended a voluntary police interview in relation to the incident.

“Following detailed enquiries by the Roads Policing Team, he has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 5, for an offence of causing serious injury by dangerous driving,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
