In July the West Moors Flower Group celebrated its Golden Anniversary, writes Catherine Jenkins.
It all started when a group of friends met up at Brenda Dear’s house in Pinehurst Road to share our love of flowers
As numbers grew we moved to the village hall where we all meet every month to watch a local demonstrator.
We celebrated with the members and visitors from the Dorset and Guernsey area who enjoyed a cream tea and we were entertained by the West Moors Singers who sang songs from the shows.
There was also a competition of a decorated tea cup and the table looked amazing.
It was won by Jenny Stubbs, and all had a wonderful afternoon.
