Fordingbridge Camera Club to host exhibition this week

FORDINGBRIDGE Camera Club is hosting its Spring Exhibition of prints at Fordingbridge Town Hall on Friday (May 23) and Saturday.

The exhibition will be open from 10am on Friday and from 9.30 on Saturday.

Entry to the exhibition is free and the club says there is something for all the family to enjoy.

Members of the club will be exhibiting their own images themed over three categories – this year the categories are Natural World and Landscape, Mono and Photographers Choice.

A spokesperson for the club said: “There will also be an exhibition of images taken on mobile phones to demonstrate to the public the quality and standard of images that are achievable without necessarily owning an expensive camera.

“Also on show will be photographs taken by Fordingbridge Beavers which they will use to gain their photographer’s badge.

“Another favourite are photos from young naturalists at Blashford Lakes, and of particular interest are photographs from Fordingbridge Museum who will be displaying old photos of Fordingbridge.

“If you are a camera enthusiast, we shall have a display of vintage camera equipment. Fordingbridge Camera club has entered in the Southern Counties Photographic Federation competitions, and you will have an opportunity to see the clubs winning entries.

“Finally, the afternoon would not be complete without tea, coffee and a delicious selection of home-made cakes.”
