Charity launches new shop – with a Halloween twist

A BRAND new charity shop is opening its doors in Bournemouth later this month – and the public is invited to its grand opening.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue has secured a new charity shop inside the Sovereign Shopping Centre in Boscombe, making this the charity’s eighth shop.

The new store is full of fantastic items, including clothing, bric-a-brac, books, electrical items and even furniture.

Anyone searching for something fun to do this Halloween, should look no further as the grand opening on October 31 will include face painting in the shop from 10am to 12pm.

Organisers said: “For a suggested donation of £3 per go, this is the perfect opportunity to get ready for your trick or treating plans, and support rescue animals in need.

“Bring your friends and loved ones along for a fun-filled day of spooky celebrations, face painting and shopping galore.”

Nigel Mason, CEO of Margaret Green Animal Rescue, said: “We are delighted to have expanded our network of charity shops across Dorset and to have a presence in Boscombe.

“Our shops play a vital role in raising funds for the charity and helping us to support more animals and people across the region.

“It’s a large store in an excellent location, and we hope this will provide a great charity shopping experience for the local community.”

The new shop is located at Unit 30, Sovereign Shopping Centre, Boscombe, BH1 4SX and is open from 9am – 5pm, Monday – Saturday.

Face painting places are limited, for children aged three years plus, and subject to terms and conditions.
