£373 worth of alcohol was stolen from Waitrose on The Furlong in Ringwood at the start of the month.

Officers say the theft took place 2.11pm and 2.26pm on November 9.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the shoplifting.

The man is described as

• White
• Aged approximately 40 years
• Approximately 5ft 10ins tall
• Brown hair and beard
• Wearing a long blue coat, white shirt, black trousers and shoes

“We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us,” a police spokesperson said.

“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
