A BIKER suffered “serious injuries” after a crash in Christchurch on Monday afternoon (November 4).
The incident occurred at around 4.30pm on the B3073 Fairmile Road, at the junction with Stour Road, and involved a white BMW 118i and a Yamaha motorbike.
The rider of the motorbike – a Christchurch man in his 50s – sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
His condition is described as life-threatening and his next of kin has been informed.
Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Dorset Police Roads Policing Team, said: “This incident occurred at a busy time of day and I understand there were a number of motorists in the area who may have seen what happened.
“I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience while emergency services were in the area treating the injured man and carrying out an examination of the scene.”
