Arrest after man stabbed in parking area at Ringwood Morrisons store

POLICE have made an arrest as part of an investigation into an incident which saw a man stabbed in a Ringwood car park after being attacked by two men in balaclavas.

The incident unfolded at around 7pm on Saturday, August 3, in a parking area at Morrisons, in Hightown Road.

“A man in his 20s was stabbed in the shoulder and was taken to hospital for treatment,” a Hampshire Police spokesperson said.

“He has since been discharged and his injuries have not been deemed life-threatening or life-changing.”

Two men in balaclavas were then seen to leave the scene in a silver Mercedes C200 sport, they added.

“Our enquiries into this incident have now led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man from Bournemouth on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.

“He has been released from police custody but remains on bail with conditions to allow for further enquiries to take place.”
