UPDATE: Police said after a search by officers, Mr Cross has been found.

POLICE have appealed for the public’s help to find missing Wimborne man, Brian Cross.

Brian, 77, was last seen in the Cuthbury Gardens area at around 2am this morning (Wednesday, May 29).

He is described as 5ft 6inches tall and of slim build with scraggly brown hair that is balding on the top.

It is believed he may have been wearing a light green T-shirt and carrying two Waitrose carrier bags.

Inspector Steve Hughes, of Dorset Police, said: “Brian is a vulnerable individual who is confused easily and we are extremely keen to locate him and make sure he is all right.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding Brian’s whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given in the Wimborne area, to please contact us immediately.”
